Benjamin Michael Spriggs, Sr. - age: 60
(January 23, 1952 to September 15, 2012 ) Resident of Hooks, Texas Visitation Information: There will be no visitation. Obituary: Benjamin Michael Spriggs, Sr. passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at his home in Hooks, Texas. He was 60. Benjamin was born January 23, 1952, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Dale, Sr. and Dorothy LeGrande Spriggs. On August 20, 1983, he was married to Margie Lynn Johnson, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was an Electrical Engineer with the Depart of Defense and was employed by VSE Corp. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Donny Spriggs, Jackie Spriggs and Curtis Rachel. He is survived by his wife, Margie Spriggs of Hooks, Texas; two sons, Benjamin "Benji" Michael Spriggs II and Tanner Swieczkowski; two daughters, Lea Ann McDonald and Princess Taylor; four brothers, Gary Spriggs, Charlie David Spriggs, Dale Austin "Bubba" Spriggs, Jr. and Kenneth Rachel; four sisters, Diane Spriggs, Linda Wilson, Peggy Dickens, and Teresa Johnson; 10 grandchildren; and numerous In-Laws, Nieces and Nephews. The family would like to send special appreciation to Shannon Smith and VSE Company employees, Sean Wells and Jamie Morgan. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5501 Plaza Dr., Texarkana, Texas 75503.
