OB Phillips - May 29, 2011
Oral Cooper was an uncle of my wife, Caroline Walker Phillips. We buried Avalene Cooper Walker Long the first week of this month in Roseburg, OR. Lera, during our visits would always tell me what a good friend my Grandmother, Willie Proctor was to her. Her eyes would light up as she talked of her. It was always a pleasure to talk with her. It seemed to be pure joy as her memories came to her. Our belief is that a celebration occurs as Lera gets introduced again to her old friends who have gone on to their rewards. We wish the family to feel Gods presence as we miss Lera Cooper.

Words cannot express my heartfelt sympathy for each of you during this time...There is only one other person left from my childhood and it is surprising how fast the years have gone by...All of the gallery of pictures is a tribute to her life and her relationship with her children and grandchildren...and possibly greatgrandchildren...May your faith carry you thru this time and I want you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers...

To my dear friend Linda. You were very blessed to have had your mom for so many years and she was blessed as well to have had you for a wonderful daughter. The coming days will be hard, but you will have assurance she is in a better place with our Lord. Linda, I will always be here for you my friend.
Love, your sister in Christ, Linda
