L.J. Bryson, Jr. - age: 82
(November 01, 1928 to December 01, 2010 ) Resident of De Kalb, Texas Visitation Information: 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2010 Bates Family Funeral Home Obituary: Mr. L.J. Bryson, Jr. of De Kalb, Texas passed away December 1, 2010 at a Texarkana hospital. He was 82. L.J. was born November 1, 1928 in Prescott, Arkansas to Luther and Lela Cummings Bryson. He was a retired mechanic for Red River Army Depot and a Produce Retailer. L.J. was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He was a member of First Baptist Church, De Kalb and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Louise Bryson of De Kalb, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Dale Cornett of Fouke, Arkansas, Davida Chapman of New Boston, Texas and Diann and J.R. Lawrence of Tyler, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Luther James and Loretta Bryson of Pittsburg, Texas; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, December 3, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Jackson and Rev. Joshua Mensinger officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery.

I was sorry to hear about Mr. Bryson's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I will miss seeing Mr. Bryson selling his fruits and veggies. Wish I had been able to come to the visitation and funeral.
